Overview
This course has been designed to give an informative overview of Import Procedures and is one of our standard `composite` courses run throughout the country but it may also be tailored and run `in-company`.
Objective
The main objectives of the two-day course are to enable members to understand the documentation required for importing, how to classify goods using The Tariff, understand the amount of duty or preferential duty payable, and to be able to complete th Import `Entry`.

The subjects covered on this introduction include commodity codes, C105 and valuation of goods, the SAD and how to complete it, customs procedure codes and the various documents which are required for successful importing. Also included are the documentary requirements of the Single European Market.

Exercises on the course include classification of goods, assessing full and preferential rates of duty, and the SAD (Single Administrative Document).
